1. Can I bring my own tools?

Yes, candidates can only bring the following: side cutters, wire strippers and pliers. These must be of insulated type and in good condition.  All other tools outside of these three items will be supplied by the centre and must be used. 

2. Can I bring my own regs/notebooks?

No, all books are provided by the centre. Candidates' books/revision materials will not be allowed during the assessment.

3. What do I need to bring on the day?

You only need to bring I.D & clean safety boots.  Without photographic ID, candidates will not be permitted to take the assessment. The following I.D will be accepted:  

• Passport
• Driving Licence
• ECS Card

4. How many days is the assessment over?

The assessment is carried out over 2.5 days.

5. When will I get my results?

Once you complete your assessment, you should be notified of the result within 5 working days. 

6. How long will it take to receive my certificate?

Certificates are posted First Class recorded post and should arrive within 10 days of completing and passing the assessment. If the certificate has not been received within 2 weeks, please visit the Certification page for the process to apply for a replacement.

7. Is parking available on site?

Yes, free parking outside main  building or additional parking in covered area (left of unit) 

8. Do you have kitchen facilities?

Yes, we have kitchen facilities for candidates to use including free hot drinks & snacks.

9. How do I get there?
